1. The Benefits – This is the type of visa that allow parents to reunite with their children living in Australia. Holding this visa allows parents to visit their children however, this visa does not allow to work. The maximum period for this visa is 10 years.
2. The Period of Stay – The Sponsored Parent Visa is considered as a temporary visa. This means that you are not allowed to apply for a permanent residence. Once your visa is expired, then you can reapply for the same visa. Moreover, holding this visa along with case to case makes you eligible to live inside the country for a period of 3 to 5 years.
3. The Long Stay – The maximum period for living in Australia while holding this visa is for 10years. However, extension of this visa isn’t possible even while holding a valid visa. For that you are expected to live the country for over 90 days in order to reapply for the same visa. If you are holding this visa but wish to apply for a different type of visa in Australia, you are required to leave the country first.
4. The No Family – Including family members are not allowed while applying or holding this visa. This visa is based on per individual who are willing to visit the country in order to meet their children who are already living in Australia.
